I locked my keys up in Shamrock Texas in my prostar I took a coat hanger and stuck it through that little side window and hit the unlock button.
Dont ever pay for a lock smith if you own a prostar

Been there done that with a ProStar....Coat hanger takes about 5 seconds!
The new Cascadia is about the same....The lock button is easy to get to with a coat hanger.DoneYourWay Thanks this. -
Or a screwdriver

If anyone needs help i can walk you through it...
Sorts feel like a car thief again....lol jk

Or borrow a neighbor's similarly modeled truck's key. Any Prostar key will work. Helped a person locked out of their Ford minivan the other day using my Taurus key.

The questions now are : How did you locate a screw driver with the keys locked inside? when will you do it again? Do you have a spare some where? will the key still work in door?

Good thing about a truck stop... They sell screwdrivers too.

Actually I knew this. Locked myself out switching trucks at a yard (door closed when I was between trucks.) Shop guy showed me the trick.
Few months later I locked myself out again. A very overpriced screwdriver later and 5 minutes I was back in.Grubby, SingingWolf, passingthru69 and 2 others Thank this. -
Used to be even easier than that with certain model year freightliners to get in long ago.
I carried two spares in addition to the one inside the ignition of that tractor. One would be on me somewhere and the second would have a spot somewhere on the rig. My favoite would be a bit of insulation wrap around the one pipe that supplies air to the sleeper under the cab floor. A touch of duct tape over it to keep everything in place. That is one spot of several.
Ive had people get into the occupied cab once or twice, it becomes a sort of a home defense situation pretty quickly. If you can put a big enough knot on them to remember you by for a month or so that will do it.DoneYourWay Thanks this.
