Oh i didnt have any trouble. Just not a rte id recommend if you are loaded. Plus didnt have cell service or qualcomm service for basically entire stretch of it and just kept thinking wtf am i going to do if I smash 1 of the probably 10 deer i seen lol. With that said being empty I only lost 15mins on my eta going across there to Elkton which was definitely faster than going up 79 from Fairmont to 68 over to 81south like my route suggestion had.

I would like to thank our , sorry, I mean illustrious, office staff who for some reason had me waiting for 2.5 hours for a reload this morning, who then sent 2 drivers to pick up the same load, then tried to cover it up by saying there were 2 loads and had me waiting yet another hour once it was determined that there was indeed only 1 load and that the shipper was gone for the weekend. Since the other driver got to the shipper first and got the load back to Richmond, I get to have the awesome fun of being sent to Wytheville - and we all know just what that means, especially on the weekend. I believe I will be giving the same amount of attention and consideration to my next load assignments as I have been given in getting them.

And before anyone says how helpful they've been in my current situation, yes, they have; however, when I'm out here and not at home, I still need miles and 375 a day ain't cutting it. Me thinks a chat with a higher power is in order.

BTW...is freight slow or what? One FM says it is and another says it's so busy he can't keep up. Or is it all just a part of the "How do you know dispatch is lying?" joke?
    Yep. Frustrated.

I have a quick question. I had to cancel Werner a couple times because I was unsure about starting with them (twice over the last year). Booked for orientation in June but decided to hold off and take a refresher locally and maybe look at another (better) company. Don't know whether to ring and tell them as I am already embarrassed they might get annoyed or something. Any suggestions?

Man up and call them. You put yourself in this position, not them.

And for God's sake, make up your mind already. Pick a direction and go with it.

Hmmmm...... Surprises this morning. Was offered a load to WA (had to turn that down. hurt my feelings, but if I was to get out there and have to get back quickly I'd never hear the end of it from AMD!) or Gatorade to Indy or BH to Winter Haven FL. Took the FL since I have a GF who lives in Apopka. Win win. Still a few less miles, but I've been wanting to get down to see her since she got engaged. She's already making plans (even though I can only stay a few hours)!

Still don't know if we are allowed to park at US Xpress yard in GA for home time. DM wasn't sure, any ideas who would be best to ask?.

Call 'em up? No one would know more surely than their yard manager or security.

Just roll up in there like you own the place. Like it is the most natural thing in the world that you should be parking there. After all, it is much easier to get forgiveness than it is to get permission.

I wouldn't want to tick off anyone by leaving the truck there for days. It would probably be OK in the back dirt lot where we leave our trailers, but I would rather have permission and leave it in their bobtail parking up front where it is less likely to be messed with.
