Use to be, we ran black lights, 1 in each top corner of the windshield to avoid so much glare of oncoming traffic. Dash lights? I always dimmed them a little if need be, but green or blue was easier on my eyes personally.

I refer to the receiving end in my post. I dont mind em. Its the white light leds that kill me. But the blue ones.... they dont hurt my eyes. Then again, a lot of people just plug and play and dont aim them correctly.

But the blue from a cobra 29 hurts.

Some of the green LED lights at some traffic signals are so F bright, I can't see a da## thing until I'm through the intersection.

I prefer stock. I have enough trouble driving at night, I turn the dash lights to minimum and every non-essential light goes off.

That's pretty much what I do.

The bright light indicator was so bright it killed the effectiveness of the actual bright lights. I put tape over (the blue painters kind of masking tape cut out in a nice $.25 cent piece size) it so now the tape just sort of glows some which is more than enough to see it.

I finally fixed the dash lights in my 85 suburban today. Does that count?

I've got one of them fancy new style Cobra 29 LX's that sits on the dash of my W9. It has 4 options for display colors. If it ain't on amber after the sun goes down, it blinds me. Even on dim.

During the day, however, you can't see the amber. So I switch it to green.

I plan on tryin' some of them anti-glare blacklights before long.
