Use to be, we ran black lights, 1 in each top corner of the windshield to avoid so much glare of oncoming traffic. Dash lights? I always dimmed them a little if need be, but green or blue was easier on my eyes personally.

I refer to the receiving end in my post. I dont mind em. Its the white light leds that kill me. But the blue ones.... they dont hurt my eyes. Then again, a lot of people just plug and play and dont aim them correctly.
But the blue from a cobra 29 hurts. -
Some of the green LED lights at some traffic signals are so F bright, I can't see a da## thing until I'm through the intersection.
Oxbow Thanks this. -
I prefer stock. I have enough trouble driving at night, I turn the dash lights to minimum and every non-essential light goes off.Highway Sailor, OLDSKOOLERnWV and Blackshack46 Thank this. -
Amen brother! I wish they would be outlawed!
Very nice!cnsper Thanks this. -
That's pretty much what I do.
The bright light indicator was so bright it killed the effectiveness of the actual bright lights. I put tape over (the blue painters kind of masking tape cut out in a nice $.25 cent piece size) it so now the tape just sort of glows some which is more than enough to see it.Zeviander Thanks this. -
Hmmm, is that your avatar riding shotgun... on the dash??

rank Thanks this. -
Factory green. Works for me.

I finally fixed the dash lights in my 85 suburban today. Does that count?
OLDSKOOLERnWV and MJ1657 Thank this. -
I've got one of them fancy new style Cobra 29 LX's that sits on the dash of my W9. It has 4 options for display colors. If it ain't on amber after the sun goes down, it blinds me. Even on dim.
During the day, however, you can't see the amber. So I switch it to green.
I plan on tryin' some of them anti-glare blacklights before long.MJ1657 Thanks this.
