Day cab hammock.

Many moons ago, I saw a guy sleeping UNDER his box, with a hammock stringed "somehow" underneath. Wish I could find the picture. It was a WTF?!? kinda moment .. in a rest area off 80.

 

So there you are just chillin in your day cab minding your own business when some idiot thinks it's funny to take a picture of you and then posts it on social media. The next thing you know you're going through Schneider's orientation class with a bunch of noobs.

 

Wait until someone goes to sleep with a door unlocked. A curious passerby or the boss swings the door open looking for you and bam. You'd be lucky if you didn't bounce all the way out on to the ground.

 

I've used these camping. not bad. bottom side gets cold easlily though.

Have done it many times, still carry my hammock with me.

I just don't do it in any truck stop/rest area, can't stand the smell....

If you ever have the chance to travel down south Mexico state of Campeche, Yucatan, Quintana Roo you will see some drivers sleeping in hammocks.

 

I've got one on my back porch, on an aluminum frame... very comfy. I can SURE get the concept, man!
