I just had mine replaced at 468k. Glad it was still under warranty but...........
Then the short harness and the relay burnt up for my rear air conditioning. Put the truck in the shop at Phoenix Thursday night and I'm told by the tech that they had to overnight the parts from Reno. Cool so yesterday the parts came in around 130pm and my truck is pulled in 4 hours later just to be told that they were sent the wrong harness....FML

Johnson's Corner Petro in CO.
I have a Target load going to Billings, MT with a pretty good delivery window tomorrow.
Between the traffic and weather, I decided to shut down here - way earlier than I had originally planned.
One other reason was I wanted (needed) a shower, and there is not anywhere other than the Love's in Cheyenne on my route that I have a shower credit. And that place would be full by the time I could get there.
But I am set up for the weekend with a load from Worland, WY to Golden, CO right after I deliver this one.
Plenty of time on that one too, as it delivers at 1000 on Tuesday.
The strange thing about the pplan was it had me t-calling the load at the Denver terminal at 0415 on the 30th, with a final delivery of 1000 on the 30th.
I called my DM and he didn't even see a t-call scheduled on his screen, even though I got the message on the QC.
I told him I would deliver it and didn't need a t-call.
Besides, it would not be fair to hose a driver with a 15 mile run with a live unload. -
So far I've only delivered 1 of the 6 Denver bound loads I've been assigned to. Normal is to drop it in our Englewood yard (so a local driver earning local pay can deliver it) and grab another load leaving Denver.
-
Maybe so.
But why would I want to t-call a load at 0415 when I could deliver it at 1000?
That would just make me run harder to get it there by that time, and screw up my sleep schedule.
And I have been in Denver to get exactly that kind of load.
It isn't worth the time involved for so little money.
No. I would rather do a live unload at 1000 and pick up the next one at 1300 rather than run my arse off to deliver at 0415 and not be ready for another load until that evening or the next morning.
Being in Golden, CO the next load would probably be from Miller Coors. And they have stuff going out all the time. -
Nothing wrong with your thinking. Was just commenting how the company I'm working for prefers to have their local drivers deliver the loads rather than have their OTR drivers sit on them. If I deliver a load from the yard (as compared to something I picked up) I'm expected to adjust my load sheet so I get paid by the hour instead of by the mile.
I have yet to sit after returning to Denver unless I have a reason to do so. -
Tom's Brook VA, pilot.
Got a load of forklifts in Ontario CA, stop 1 was in Dallas. Stop 2 which I have my sincere doubts will deliver till probably Tuesday will deliver in Frederick MD as soon as they are open to receiving them. And the final will be in Union NJ as soon as they take em.
Student is officially finished, he wants to try to run to Gary or Greer with me to avoid the Hassle of upgrading at a non flatbed terminal.
And as a surprising turn of events. I was stolen from flatbed. I did all van loads for like 2 1/2 weeks. Turns out (we think we know who did it.) Someone switched me to 005 division. My DM finally noticed that I was actually marked under the wrong bloody division and switched me back to 001. After I called and inquired about getting flatbed loads. Another thing I guess I'll have to keep my eye out for in the future.
Payrate didn't change, so I suspected nothing.
Started a new exercise regimen. I started skateboarding (as in actually skating.) to get into better shape. Still recovering from a nasty wipe out a few days ago. But after only a few sessions I'm already feeling alot more energetic. -
I use this it's lightweight doesn't take a lot of space so it's easy to put in one of my saddlebags on my motorcycle and I get a good workout would be really good for a truck driver as far as space and Weight Wise..
TRX GO Suspension TrainerFerrissWheel Thanks this. -
Casper, WY at the J.
Stopped a bit early today so I could do some laundry. I deliver tomorrow at 1000 in Golden, CO. A nice 8k load of cans from Worland.
When I got the load assignment there was no t-call, which I'm glad for. Saved me the phone call to get it removed.
Just one more week until my youngest daughter gets on the truck with me, and I can't wait.FerrissWheel and scottied67 Thank this. -
That's interesting. I've seen several resistance band based portable things, but that seems far more functional than some of mine. I might give it a go.
