You got to have a physical address where records are kept. How do you work that exactly?

Nah he just makes enough that he doesn't have to do it from the cab. Hell, I don't do it all from the cab. We don't have to live in our trucks so we don't have to do it in the cab.

I'm not gonna have a pissing match. When you have an operating authority you have to have a physical address for your authority. Yes it can be your house. Some where in this address you better have your IFTA reports, Driver qualification files, drug test info. As well as maintenance records, 6 months of logs, etc. Seems you would know this

The residence actually holds 2 offices, hers and mine. She does escrow work and I just started my company after one too many 'company' positions. The Rand McNally does the IFTA reports. I'm sorry if you found something to take offense about.

The main point being, that the paperwork can be done without 'office' workers, they aren't needed except when the company wants to own the world.

No I took offense to the part of the brain. Yes rand McNally keeps up with the trip reports. But hand it to the tax man and wait for the laugh. It's hard to file hard copies of reports from the cab of a truck is my point.

I quell that little on call problem with every company right off the bat .
They call once and I tell them no I'm busy ..if they persist ill tell them I'm not on call and goodbye talk to ya when I'm ready to go .
I never hear from them again when I'm at home ...greater Omaha and I played that game twice and must got removed from the list lol.
    I'm drunk works well too.

While I agree with your assessment, my point is that when you're on paper, there is no accountability when dispatch tries to make you drive that extra 3-4 hours. "No one will know, it will be our little secret." Until it goes bad, that is. With paper, they think that gives them license to twist your arm. They can't do that with electronic.
