I have an intermittent electrical problem in my T 680. Usually it will start just fine although it always draws so much power that it shuts off the QUALCOMM and makes it reboot. I took it to an electrical specialist last week and he said that there's nothing they can do about it it's just a problem that half of the T680s that he has looked at have had. That is annoying but I can live with that. Yesterday when I went to restart it after fueling it did like one turnover of the Engine then the dash went blank and then another single turn over a couple of seconds later and again the dash went blank. I turned the key to the off position and tried again and then it cranked really slowly and finally started. The dash indicator then read that it had a transmission fault and the service light by the gear selector started flashing. I shut it off and restarted it and It did a little bit better starting but the fault did not correct itself so I shut it off again and turned off the two electrical shut off switches behind the driver seat off for a minute and then I turned them back on. If then started just fine with no fault indicated in the service light quit flashing by the gear selector. It started fine four times today but I do not trust this truck. It seems like every time I shut it off and turn it back on I'm rolling the dice. If I have this problem on a hot day and it doesn't restart It could get very uncomfortable. In the last month I have taken it to the TA twice to check the batteries and put on a new starter motor. I suspect the problem lies elsewhere. Has anyone encountered this problem and if so did you ever find a solution?

I tend to run engine fan on timer for 5 mins or in line waiting and rarely have issues. But if I shut it off asap it does turn slow sometimes

Starter rolling over slowly usually means there's resistance in the starter circuit. Those disconnect switches sometimes bugger up and create resistance, which might explain why it started just fine after you switched them off and then back on. Could also be due to corrosion between the truck frame and battery ground cable. Some manufacturers like to stick a star washer between the frame and the cable lug. Over time that creates a resistance point.
