Hmmm, well in that case...

The "used car salesman" as you refer to him, can't get anything done for dealing with stupidity from the other side of the fence. Don't know about anyone else but, I see things in my area slowly moving. L/O I spoke to is back to moving roof bolts and rail, things that have been stationary for quite some time. Now, back to praising the Elog situation.

Al. Roper and fordconvert Thank this. -
I tried not to comment, but....last year, I called our largest ready-mix company to find out what their starting wage is.
It was very, very difficult to remain cordial when they told me that they start out at $10.00/hr.!!!
Yeah, i live in low-wage Nebraska, but that is repulsive.Al. Roper Thanks this. -
Yes it is, So what are you worth? Would you say you are worth 15 bucks per hour? Lets just see how much your check would be. 40 per week times 15 per hour equals 600 plus 20 hours of overtime at 22.5 /// 20 times 22.5 per hour equals 450. That is 4200 a month and 1050 per week, Maybe you should have asked that mixer company what there full pay is, i wonder if there full pay is 15 per hour.
Anyway this electronic log thing will make it real easy for everyone to calculate there honest hourly wage. I believe it will also force fatigued drivers to rest, if you need a nap mid day and want to split your 10 off i believe you are fatigued. I believe you should only log 40 hours per week until you are not fatigued. Thats just my opinion -
How is an ELD going to make it any "easier" to calculate your true hourly average than paper logs? If you're logging legal, it'll be the same either way. If you're shaving line 4 time on paper, you're probably going to do the same on an ELD. Those ELD's are STILL only going to be as accurate as the person inputting the duty status changes, except for line 3 which is supposed to be automatic and not subject to editing. So if a person logs line 1 or line 2 when they should be logging line 4, the ELD will be the exact same misrepresentation of the person's time.
fordconvert, Al. Roper, wore out and 1 other person Thank this.
