I haven't been by their yard in the past month or so, but Venezia (Limerick/Pottstown) had their "hiring drivers" sign out front. Not being a driver, I know very little scuttlebutt about them, but they have a good reputation in the community as being a clean operation.
Baack Thanks this. -
Try Wright-Knox Motor Lines out of Armagh, PA. They have received several awards from the State of Pennsylvania for small business excellence. They can get you home on weekends, if you choose or you can run the western routes and be home every 9 to 10 days. Very nice equipment, mostly new Cascadias with Mercedes Benz engines. Benefits are better than average. If your interested you will not find a web site just google, yahoo, etc the name and you should find a phone number.Last edited: Oct 28, 2008

Phantom Logistics they have a terminal in Pittsburgh, PA, but they are based out of Humble, TX. They are flatbed...

Thank you for folks for the suggestions I will check out Phantom, Wright-Knox, and Venezia to see if I get any luck. Any other suggestions are certainly welcome too but hopefully one of these will be a definate go.

If you have a few years experiance, and live anywhere near Warren or Erie PA, I can give you the name of my company. Pay is ok, free health ins, home weekends and usually a night or 2 a week. Flatbed, hauling mostly steel.
Hard work, but home more.
To the best of my knowelege they only hire in the area though. That way they can do maintance on nights and weekends. So you are not down for it during the week. -
Where in PA ???? I live in the wmspt area there are a couple smaller companies close to here mostly dump and live floor hauling. Home on the weekends for the most part..
