Thought you had a SWR issue with that radio that gave you a problem ???

 

I burned up a Connex 3300 that I had before that radio. No more fiberglass antennas for me.

I'm running an older Wilson 2000 now and I have the internal SWR meter set to display all the time. Any little blip and I put the analyzer on it after cleaning all the connections.

 

Never a fan of any fiberglass antennas..... I run too much power though to use one really.

 

Has anyone been inside yours?

What instructions are needed ????? Oh never let anyone else but him inside your radio.

 

Actually, three of the buttons didn't work on the front panel when I got it. So I took it apart, even though he told me not to. He wanted me to send it back and I wasn't doing that.

I pulled the display and the front circuit board off and cleaned all pins. Voila! Working buttons.

That may be what bored is talking about them not handling the vibration. Besides the pins having a poor connection, there were solder tits poking through the flimsy piece of plastic insulator that keeps one board from shorting on the other. Really kinda piss poor cheap design.

 

OMG I am surprised you are not cast you out of the CB world and he hasn't put you on the banned from talking on the radio to his other followers list or on is list of subjects who are not allowed to talk to the great potentate of CB techs.
