I have a possible job opportunity and im wondering what you guys think:

    5 night runs a week.
    Depart 1900 return 0430
first trip depart monday last trip finish sat am.
    home daily
    $250/trip
    Extra pay for hooking/un-hook pups
no waiting if in event there was waiting 15/hr after 3 hrs
trucks are parked in heated shop
    pay weekly via direct deposit

im currently pondering it and have to make a decision very soon. Would take me off the long haul for a better life style but 10k less a year. looking for some opinions. work is threw owner operator at highly respected freight compan.

So, you got to figure out your primary goal: More money or better lifestyle. Unfortunately some people have to make that choice. As the Reverend Mr. Black said one upon a time, "no one else can walk the path for you."

Not bad money for 9.5 hrs. Any options to run an extra load for extra money here and there?

    oriden953 Thanks this.

Take into account that you're losing money for the first three hours of waiting. After 3 hours you'll be right mad and then only make $15 an hour.

With them saying you're donating your time for three hours makes me think that there will be wait times..

I run out of winnipeg down to Fargo nightly. That broker has had a lot of driver turnover. Not sure why, but there's got to be a reason.

I get 468 miles round trip for my Fargo run. Based on that, your getting approx .51 a mile. Is he still doing the independent contractor thing or are you an employee?
