"Sorry, can't deliver this load since I'd be breaking company policy by backing on a public street. Oh, they won't bring a pallet jack and forklift out here? I'll drop it in Kearny."AM14, 91B20H8, SingingWolf and 1 other person Thank this.

Sunman IN at shipper.
Loaded trailer has a flat and a blown hub seal. By the time repair guy is to get here, 90 minutes, I'll be out of hours for the day.
At least it isn't 87 percent humidity and 89 degrees outside.SingingWolf Thanks this. -
At home until Saturday. Plan to go climbing tomorrow and perhaps some new ink.
-
So does that mean you are at the Petro about 15 miles from there?
-
No it means I'm at the shipper.
Hub seal got fixed but between sem and the dispatch company the flat tire was forgotten about.
Another repair guy is now coming to change the tire.91B20H8 and SingingWolf Thank this. -
Thomas Edison service plaza NJ TPK. Hate this place but it was the only option if I want to get home by Saturday.
As long as tomorrow's customer doesn't take more than 3 hours and I dont get a backhaul my plan will work.SingingWolf and 91B20H8 Thank this. -
Well..going to pick up my ez run tomorrow...lol

TA in Jacksonville, fl.
I thought today was going to be my last day on earth.
Came over the crest of an overpass with no on/off ramps, in heavy traffic. There was a semi on the shoulder, at the bottom. From a full stop, the guy pulls right out in front of everyone coming down the the hill at 70mph there was one car between him and I , and the left lane was full. The car in front of me flies into the emergency lane to avoid getting sandwiched between our trucks. We had less than 2 feet between us, after I braked. I thought for sure I was going to get slammed from behind. I had screamed on the radio,The second I saw his front tires turn towards the road,"Dont pull out, I'm going to hit you. I'm going to hit you." I heard someone else screaming "Brake check brake check brake check "
He of course high tailed it out of there. No I'D on the trailer rear or sides. Green century.
I was so shocked, I was numb. If I had been checking my mirrors or had looked away for a second, I would have hit him..hard. He didn't even attempt to speed up before he cut in.91B20H8 Thanks this.
