Just applied to Action Resource waiting to hear something back. I wear a beard so was trying to see if they have a facial hair policy.
Do Action Resources have a facial hair policy?

The company may not have a facial hair policy but some of the plants you go into may have one.Just passing by Thanks this.

If they have a facial hair policy its for your own protection,,gives you a heads up that full respirator may be required and you don't get a proper seal with a mangy ol' cat clung to your fazog

Just passing by and scythe08 Thank this. -
Can any drivers from Action Resource please respond,
-
Ask the recruiter like I did. She'll tell you yes, it's an OSHA requirement because of respirator.
-
Most companies allow a mustache out to even with the edge of your lips, but nothing else. As said, it's so a respirator fits tight. And if you need to use one you will be glad it stays tight.

I'm surprised that there drivers stood for that. I can't picture myself with a bald face. I don't like a mustache or wear mustache with my beard. I haul hazardous chemicals now with a full fledged beard in and out of planets daily. That's a bunch of baloney osha requirement they are different types of of respiratory system...lol

At the company I'm at now we handle at of PCL3 which is Phosphorus trichloride.

Why bother going through the ridiculously long process of filing out an application (which is more like a PACKET of papers these days) just to find out they won't allow a beard? Seems backwards to me. I would have found those details out BEFORE I gave my time away because I'm like you...I'm not shaving my beard!
All-American82 and Bulk_Hauler Thank this.
