    No, just the trailer itself.

That's what mine has stamped on the plate. It weighs about 15k empty, so you can get 50k on it safely.

This one was probably 4-5000 lbs overweight.

Most of the load on the trailer was concentrated right in the middle also. I think that was a big factor.

This didn't happen at the scrap yard, it was at one of their customers. Now they are trying to figure out how to get it back to the yard. Either scrap it in place ( which the customer doesn't want to do) or cut the tandems and landing gear off and haul it on a step deck.

That's the same as scrap in place. Aint it? If it has to be done right spend a dollar and do it right. Sometimes what the person does not want to do aint up to him anymore.

That 6 axle GVW is around 88 if the bridge is long enough. Light weight 28? So 60 net is possible but what knucklehead would load it in the center.

Is there a reason that nobody runs Mez decks here?

A lot of "heavy" 53' containers will have a 24,000 lb forklift rating. Years back, coworker went to a place that makes beer cans, he had 6 rolls of aluminum laying flat on the floor. Forklift driver used a forklift that weighed 25,000 lbs to unload, got 4 of 6 off before the floor collapsed, even buckled the chassis.
