The question should be "Why is the loading dock right next to the entrance door of the building"?

 

Because whoever laid it out, hadn't a clue. This type of thing happens all the time, and in every conceivable way.
After all, the "90 day wonders," that design things, have no experience in working with the type of thing they design.

 

I would not last long in any kind of design associated with trucking somehow.

90 day wonder shows draft blueprint of a facility expected to take 53 foot trucks off a non truck route and pavement insufficient to handle a turning radius of a box truck.

I'll snort that's BS, tear it up doing it over.

Boss will tell me youre fired. You don't know how to save money in design.

Oh really? What's the point then of trying to fit a 53 foot backed by a 20 foot tractor into a hole made for box trucks? That's not a proper trucking warehouse.
