TMC

They don't put cameras in all the trucks.
They are some slow trucks.
And not all freight pays great. TMC ain't a bad place to be, but I've had worse.

 

Despite all that went on in this thread, what still perplexes me is that you had a year if clean driving experience and opted to go to TMC.

Not the greatest bargaining chip but you could've did better than TMC.

 

I'm an experienced driver with 30 yrs behind the wheel, unfortunately the last 20 was a heavy tow truck. News flash, that's not not considered trk/ctrl experience. So, I had to start over. I chose TMC for the home time. And nice equipment. They do have some stupid policies, but for the most part I have no complaints. The ones who complain the most will not be happy anywhere. I got some complaints, mostly HOS, but I'm old school learning new rules.

The "fired if walking on the grass rule." is actually a test. If you disregard the simple rule, you can't be trusted to follow the securement rules, the driving rules, etc. I would not put any driver in my $150,000 dollar truck who can't follow simple rules.

 

I don't think anybody should have a license that cannot think for themselves or evaluate a situation.
