Laws without enforcement are nothing more than suggestions. Agree there needs to be stronger laws/enforcement/sanctions in regards to these situations.

already have several jobs that i am exploring. i will not and cannot put up with some of the things that are going on here. WAY too much B.S. and not much concern about safety more about rushing loads to the delivery point. i will not do dangerous and stupid things for him or anyone else. i will donate any time to any employer, even 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes at night is way too much. no freebies.

Aren't you on your fourth trucking job in seven months? You don't have many hops left before you make yourself unemployable in trucking.

You have fully legitimate complaints with your current job, but....just sayin'.

Not only is he complaining but he is threatening to sue or get the government involved. That is asking to be fired. Everyone else does seven loads but he can only do six. He doesn't have the hustle so the employer has a right to terminate him.

OP, Your future employers are required to contact your former employers and they will get an earful if you proceed with getting the government involved.

It sucks. But you are at four jobs in seven months. Pretty soon the recruiters will know who the problem is.

I support you for standing up for what you believe in. Are you willing to pay for it?

all true but the last job wasnt working me at all. i cant live on 1 or 2 days of work, had they worked me i wouldn't have left. i just keep getting the unlucky draw. i am not threatening suing anyone, i am saying he has been sued in the past for the same type of behavior and didnt learn a thing. the only thing i would possibly do it call the NYS dept of labor on him for not paying drivers for everything they do to spare the guys that are still there and not getting paid for everything they do. perhaps i should just leave the place and leave well enough alone. if they choose to stay there its their own fault.

carolina eastern was good when i got to run, but i only got a couple of weeks of a substantial paycheck.

also i have not said a thing to my boss, nor will i. im not threatening anyone. i just wont be sticking around very long.

the hustle? you mean the disregard for things like red lights and speed limits? the guy that was training me told me to run a red light and that is wasnt red but "pink". "pink" lol. sorry i would rather leave trucking then drive like a moron and get hurt or killed, or kill someone else. i could not live with that.

everyone got 6 loads except the super-trucker he got 7. its not like i was the only drive with 6, i had as much as everyone else except the bosses pet. the super-trucker was the same jerk he had "training" me.

Running pink lights is crazy. If I were you, I would leave without burning any bridges. I would leave quietly into the night.

i have filled out several applications today. i guess the guy i am working for has a pretty poor reputation. they asked me who i was working for and the response was, i havent heard much good about that outfit.

if i didnt have a family i would just go back to OTR, but given my family situation i wont do that. i will exit the industry before driving OTR. you cant pay me enough to do that. SOME of these local companies are a joke. im sure there are some good one's out there but this aint it.
