His handle should be "3 millennials" instead of 3 million miles. No clue what he's taking about but acts like an authority. LP is like every single other form of trucking. Works for some people, doesn't work for others.

I'm doing a lease purchase at Roadrunner Transportation, almost done, when this truck is payed off, after a few months, I'm going to do it all over. No problem making my payments here, and yes you have O/O deductions. They have a lease only option that I'm looking into also, new truck every three years. That being said I've been doing ok, not getting rich at roadrunner, or living large. Been more of a freightliner problem than a roadrunner problem.

no, at the risk of sounding like another bad truckstop story, I have 2 credit cards, one has a $17k limit, the other has a $34k limit and I deal with my repairs out of that. Right now the $34k card has a zero balance and the $17k card has a $6k balance.
So, in answer to your basic question, NO, do not take a LEAP OF FAITH......you will be that guy with a broke truck and a Greyhound bus ticket. Dude, it's like the old axiom, It takes money to make money. It just doesn't necessarily have to be your money. But you do need to have access to money.

How did you look up the 6 trucks.Malone has no trucks on the yard in AL. Drivers are sent out all over the place to pick up trucks they lease them sight unseen.also LP guys at Malone pay right at $1000 a week every week so I don't know how lazy you could be before you were looking for a job

Well man you really did good. What the price for a 4 year old with 350,000 miles casscadia $50,000 to $60,000 and you paid it off in two years.what were your payments like $3000 a month.plus all the expenses while you were running tags taxs insurance plus you saved $26,000.how could anyone fail doing a LP a lot of profit there even a dummy should be saving $13,000 every two years if you could do $26,000

Closer to $750-800 a week for all expenses outside of fuel. Anything goes wrong on the truck and you're covered.

Also those guys make there money training, let's say they are averaging $1.70 a mile, they are getting 5000-6300 miles at that rate while paying $.09 a mile to the student.

You'd have no problem working two weeks taking one off (which I believe is how the trainers run, 14 on 5 off)

Average NET to the truck is between $1900-3600

This however is according to the recruiters and managers I spoke with about the program. I decided not to go this route and save up so I'm able to get a truck from loan mountain and then lease to a company from there so I'd be able to take my tractor elsewhere if need be.

Overall safer and more lucrative route that way.

Still saving and learning for quite awhile, but that's the first LP deal I've come across that didn't seem like a total raping
