Doors are done. Used WIREZ sound deadner. Used a lot. Drivers door is getting a new inside seal. The difference this Stuff makes is unreal. Did the inside of the panels after the door. Took all the rattle and plastic noise out of them. Now to start the floor.

Thanks for your thread. I been wanting to do my Classic for some time. You can read a newspaper through the crap the factory put in. Whoever spected my truck out was cheap and did not care about the person who had to live in all the noise. I had a 1985 Ptb. that had the same insulation my 2000 FTLR. has. 15 years and that's the best they could do. The upgraded insulation package on a integrated cab probably would of maybe cost $500 back in 2000.

Estimates on time and money involved in the project...?
And when you have to work on the power windows what happens ? -
Thanks for posting this. I finally get to see someone else spend a couple weeks and thousands of dollars to do an improvement. Looking forward to seeing the report on how the upgrades are working. I have a '99 Century that needs this badly. The worst of it is un-doing the damage and short cuts done by previous owners, or worse, hacks done by bored drivers. The older the truck, the more hands been in there before you.
Cottonmouth85 and Elroythekid Thank this. -
The only thing that I see that might be an issue is with the insulation on the doors. If you ever have to work on the lock mechanism or window in the door you may have shot yourself in the foot due to having to peel all of that off to get to it. The bigger question is will it restick after you pull it off after a few years of use? Other than that good job man. Making improvements to the truck is a good choice.
