New rules were out as of my last physical :
.... if you were on meds that restricted your Card for example and have been off of them
for at least 2 years you are cleared to go back onto a 2 year card automatically

What meds were/are you on ?

Has it been 2 years ?

You feel ok to drive around in a truck all day ?

Let me try and simplify this for you. Weed is not tolerated in this industry even mentioning you smoked in the past can cause you undo headache. At this point go get another physical and don't mention weed! (you don't even have a CDL yet so no big deal) From this day forward do not ever admit to smoking weed in your past. You will need to find a company that does NOT do HAIR folicle testing. Before becoming a truck driver I smoked more weed than Willie Nelson , . when asked the weed question I always say NO NEVER SMOKED WEED. I will NOT touch the stuff until I retire and then I may go to a legal state and smoke one on vacation.

Thank you for the reassurance,I'm in the process of going to another place to get a physical done.

And just to ease my head,as long as i don't mention the other physical or register it with my dmv,it will be gone for ever and no-one but that clinic will have it and be able to pull it up?

OP, you keep telling the story and you'll be sittin' downtown in a railway station.

You have to analyze this objectively. For it to "show up," it would have to show up somewhere. Where would it show up? You would need to determine, if there is some sort of clearinghouse database where all DOT physicals are stored. Because of HIPPA privacy issues, this would never happen. Medical records are strictly confidential to the patient, with the exception being --they can be released to the specific employer paying for the results of the physical.

If you file it with DMV, that serves as some sort of clearinghouse. But you must first actually file that with DMV.

If you get a physical at a subsequent date, that physical will supersede the prior physical. It essentially deletes all "official" records of the prior physical. The exception is, it is stored in your private medical records. Only a legal subpoena, in the context of a court case, can force you to produce those records.

You have no proof that you smoked marijuana, and the burden of proof is on them to show you took this drug. THE BURDEN OF PROOF is on them.

You're never going to be successful without first being a liar.

Yeah but hair tests are company-specific. They cannot put a failed hair test in a DAC report, submit it to DOT as a failed result, or tell any other employer that you failed a drug test. They can only use a hair test to determine if they want to hire you at their specific company. You can fail a hair test all day every day for weed. If it's not in your urine, the DOT have no recourse to sanction you. Future employers will never be told, "we fired so and so for failing a drug test," if that drug test is a hair test rather than a urine test. Only a urine test is reportable and relevant.

Case in point, I was denied employment at Knight Refrigerated a few years ago. I'm guessing it is because they discovered codeine in my hair, which I disclosed to them. It was because I just had dental work. It was either this, or the several beers I drank in the company hotel room.
