It's a point system that is figured every 30 days, you gain so many points for each 30 days then need on those points is a ranking system that determines how much of a percentage you get for the following month. The system is designed to allow for higher performing drivers to be rewarded for their work and for not so high performers to learn where they need to work on their performance

Idle if your hot, but remember we are paid based on MPG and numerous other performance stats. So the more you idle the less MPG in turn less pay. I am usually good to not idle below 80 degrees with a fan running and windows open. over 80 degrees i run the truck. The MPG performance is based of a fleet average, so when its hot everyone idles more so the fleet average will go down as well . Just be smart about it, but dont be so uncomfortable you do not sleep

Here's the deal... You work hard delivering or loading during the day. When you sleep you want to sleep comfortably. Run the air or heat. When you go to a yard for service check out all the trucks idealing. Also 10 degrees or lower TMC wants you to run the truck to prevent road service.

Stay north. Don't be running the southern states.

TMC's point system is also designed to allow you to make more money based on your good performance quickly. After your first full "snapshot" month in the truck, you qualify for pay raises that following month. No waiting 3 to 6 months before your hard efficient work pays off. It also is designed to keep you on your toes with good performance. Those raises can go away just as quickly if you don't keep on it. But, at least if you have a rather bad month, it doesnt haunt you for 3 months or more before you can get the higher pay percentages back, like at some companies. I worked for TMC for nearly 17 years from '94 to '11. They have a lot of good things going there that I have missed from time to time since I left.

Here's what I did...if you get a 379 or 388 get you two of those window vents. I think they're like $24 or something like that, or at least mine were. They fit right in the window openings. Do that, invest in a good fan (I don't know that I'd recommend the Tornado fan-those never did work out too well for me), and you should be straight...so long as it ain't so hot outside. If you're down south between May and September, you can forget it. Idle. You'll melt otherwise. Lol

Question, I heard that TMC does not allow new drivers to have a beard or to show tattoos? Is this true?
