Negative. A Maxxfarce needs fixed from minute 1. Unless you enjoy spending days waiting in a shop driver lounge. Just do a simple search for used trucks and you'll find one make/model/engine will be listed with the lowest miles and lowest price. The same year/make/model truck with a cummins engine will nearly always have double the miles and have a 50% higher asking price.
Upping power can be done with the fix and usually is.

Buy an old truck with a series 60. It's the best route if you can find a decent one. The ones that have them hold onto them.
QuietStorm Thanks this. -
You don't want that w9 with the 6nz..... got a link to it?
I wouldn't run the maxforce for any amount. Side of road = unhappy customers or even load claims if a load spoils. I am happy so far with my 15 isx. Only 220548 km on it so far though. knock on wood
If you can bring yourself to buy a Volvo or a mack they seem to have the least problems overall, but then when they do the service network can be few and far between. Sort of a crap shoot any way you cut it. -
Don't walk away from the max force. Run run run fast
KullenTrucking and boneebone Thank this. -
As much as it pains me to say this the mack mp8 is about as good as it gets for emission motors.

Poppa thats kind of what I came up with. The least complaints anyway, no rave reviews. Im thinking Series 60 or Cat, and California be ######
