Does your truck have FCAM? Forward Collision Active Mitigation

My Fcam is put the phone down and pay attention to whats in front of you.

 

Nice! Another utterly useless waste of wires!

 

I've drove one before and will never again, pos breaks for overpasses.. the lane detection one is also garbage and goes off for cracks, tar lines, and pretty much any other line in the road.. complete junk, if folks weren't so wrapped up in thier smart phones going down the road and insurance companies didn't rule the industry there wouldn't be a market for this garbage

 

I've always got my foot in the pedal,disabling the pos...if I could disable the speaker too,I would.

 

They beep and bong so much that you tune them out after about 2 days. I only drove that truck for a week and that was too much. The guy that drives it normally says he doesent even hear it anymore. It was the Kenworth version.

 

I AM the human collision migitation. The ####### that cut me off in 10 feet and then stands on brakes gets me to decide if I wanna horse it out of there or love tap or allow physics to kill him.

Now think about that awesome technology in a driverless truck ... AS stated above by others the absolute best technology is a PROPERLY trained driver with common sense

 

Where are you going to find one of those?
