####....those days aren't in sight yet. Back in '15 I was taking home 1800 wkly 6/1... now I'm 5/2 and 5/3 and taking 1100-1200. No per diem and no housing.

Stay away from Frac Sand hauling unless you're going for CMS.
Water hauling is alright if you can get anywhere from $19+ an hr.
The sand haulers that pay percentage are going to get hit hard when the Elogs kick in. I'd recommend you look for Frac operator positions and stay away from driving in the patch for now...

Don't believe 1845 Oilfield services and Stevens tanker division. I hear those guys crying all the time at a pad or disposals about how bad they're getting bent over.

I guess you didn't hear how Dual exited the bakken. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is...

If you're one of those fortunate enough to have your own time machine I can point you in the right direction but it involves a little bit of time traveling.

Well i know i have a friend out in fort Stockton clearing 1800 or so a week. Im just hopeing to get in with a company to where i can clear 1200 or more a week. Not sure if i want to replocate all the way to Fort Stockton. But I obviously need to specialize. Ive only been making 700 to 900 a week before taxes. EVERYONE says that they wouldn't drive a semi for less that a 1000 a week!

I hear ya driver, I'm in the same boat, no Hazmat though but I was offered a position pulling sand boxes. Although I better be clearing more than 1200 a week if I'm going to leave my family for 21 days at a time. I can clear 800 running ONE load of salvage parts from Temple to Ft Worth, 7-8 hours a night, home every night, with Friday and Saturday off and still clear 725 after I put some back for taxes. It's 1099 but it's cake work and at best 40 hours a week, maybe a few hours more IF you get stuck in traffic a couple of those days.

But for the amount of work I'd put in which in a fraction of what I'd assume I'd be doing in the oil field, I better be pulling in more than 400 bucks over what this local gig would run. I need at least 1500 a week AFTER taxes, to feel like it was worth it to live in a truck for 21 days and not see my wife and baby.

That could be wishful thinking after what I've been reading at this current time in the oil patch, but you have to make it worth it to the drivers, but that's just my opinion. If you're advertising you better be paying decent becasue that's the only reason folks travel and live in trucks for weeks on end out there. I'm still debating on which route to go. Good luck in whichever path you end up taking driver.

I couldn't live in a truck for3 weeks at a rip. especially out there where there is hardly any truck stops or anything in general. Why not try getting on a frac or cement crew? Schlumberger, Halliburton, Cudd, Keane, US-WS, Stingray. they'll put you up in a motel during your hitch no living out of the truck. Paid by the hour so you know your getting paid just to show up
