Another option would be to lease a trailer and find a good dispatcher who can make you 2.00+/mile for around 5% of your gross.
-
As info, we do pay $1.15 per mile plus 100% of the FSC to the truck (all miles). Plus we pay tolls, detention and NYC bonus. Fuel discounts. q-comm, external camera installed for free and no charge. No trailer rental. we do the ifta filing and pay weekly. Our regional owner ops are home weekends and gross $3400 for 5 days.

What's an external camera for?
-
You are ****ing me, $1.15 a mile plus FSC?
what about dead head FSC?
Why should I go with you if I make more than $2 a mile? -
So what is the FSC your adding to to the $1.15 per mile right now?
-
They believe you can run 3k miles a week in the Northeast.... It's tough I'm sorry but the cost of living it's too high and those 3400 can disappear quickly quick math... 3000 miles÷5 (Miles per gallon)= 600x2.59(average diesel price in nj)= 1554.. 3400-1554 =1846- insurance, truck payment and registration....600 a week to be realistic minus food and maintenance maybe 1200 after all set and done you are a glorified company driver based on those numbersluckystar Thanks this.

FSC on all miles. Are you making $2 per mile all miles or just loaded? what are you paying for insurance, tolls, price per gallon on fuel?
If your making $2 per mile that's great. someone starting out new might not have the customer base to keep rolling and make that or the capital to float fuel for 30-60 days on invoices. -
Northeast Average is $0.23 at the moment.12 ga Thanks this.
-
Our regional drivers typically average 2500 miles. We don't plan for much more in the northeast. Our company diesel price is currently $2.35. It was in the $2.12 range a couple weeks ago.
most of our o/o's average 6-7 mpg
