Does anyone know what the maximum point cutoff on your PSP is when applying for a job? Obviously 0 is the best, but do most companies have a set number? Any recruiters want to chime in?

I guess I never thought about it....it's a good question.
I'd have to imagine companies would look at it in different ways. For instance, in 2010 when they first implemented the PSP/CSA on drivers, I got a "fix it ticket" in Montana because some overzealous DOT officer saw a drop of oil dangle'n from my drain plug on the oil pan during an inspection.
That's (even to this day) the only thing on my CSA. One company can look at that and say "Well, we don't want this guy, he obviously doesn't pay attention to his equipment. And another company may say "Seriously? An oil leak? Don't those guys have anything better to do than harass drivers".
I don't think it's a set NUMBER they look at....rather, it's a "trend" they'd be looking for. If you have a couple things, it can easily be dumb luck...if you have a bunch of things, it's most likely looked at as lazy and/or careless. I don't know.theurge Thanks this. -
Its not something youre going to be able to get around. May as well apply or call and ask.

Don't ask, don't tell seems like a good way forward. Do you know for a fact how many points you have?...no you don't, you never had reason to check. That's your story and you're sticking to it.
What's the worse that will happen?, you don't get a job you didn't have a chance of getting anyway. -
I have around 25 right now. Not the best, but not worst either. Searching around I've seen 60-70 is the cutoff for a lot of places, but every company is different. It would be interesting to hear how some companies handle psp - if they have a certain number in mind or if it's just trend based.

I read a couple of ads on indeed last week, can't remember the companies, but one had a maximum of 85, another was 70. I've been told that pgt trucking will fire you if you psp his 75
