I think I'd buy a fridge before shelling out Yeti money, but I'm dumb.

I use a Coleman that keeps my food cold for 3 days. It cost $20.

Depending on size of cooler you get, you might need to get a couple bags (5#) every other day in the summer. Winter you might need one bag every couple.

If you work for a company that has multiple terminals, they might have ice machines there that you can get ice from for free.

    Just get a cheap one.

I have two yeti's on my boat and no they are not worth it. Extremely well made and will last a lifetime but really only marginally better than a cheap Coleman at holding ice. But you do get some cool stickers to put in your back glass of your p/u. Do yourself a favor and buy a 12 volt Coleman and just run it while you drive if your worried about battery issues. Ice and water sloshing around sucks.

My yeti keeps ices for 6-8 days and even after the ice melts the water stays cold enough to keep drinks cold another 2 days or so. That's in a 70 degree truck out of the sun. I've left it in a hot truck of a car in MS summer heat and it kept ice for 2-3 days. So yeah I think they are worth it
