Then I commend you for getting back on your feet, and (hopefully) keeping it clean.
But keep in mind that this is still a profession to be proud of, despite the cr@p we have to put up with.
I hope you can get to the place where you feel like you've accomplished something with your life. Just don't get there by stepping on others along the way. You have a chance to have a better life, and maybe help others along the way.
For you Rookies this is how it's done on elogs

I get $1.12 a mile. Once I pay my truck rental and fuel I bring home (pay taxes) $1700 for 3000 miles. I bring home about $21-2200 on 3800 miles and that's my goal every week. That and don't have any blow outs or break downs.
-
I get a fuel surcharge too. My fixed cost before fuel is $800

I'm OTR. If I run my 70 clock all the way out like that I end up having to begin my driving at 12:01am each day. That means pretending it's bedtime at 2pm. Not fun.
noluck Thanks this. -
A lease operator running for $1.12/mi... Color me suprised, shocked, and amazed.
noluck, 207nomad, driverdriver and 3 others Thank this. -
Now it makes sense

If you think that's hard running, don't ever haul cows. You'd be hunting cocaine quickly. I used to run those miles everyday and be home by 230 pm in a governed truck on elogs, what you are doing is nothing new. I do applaud a good work ethic though. When you want to run about 6k miles a week, buy a cattle pot and I will hook you up with some sale barns.

this career is fast money that's why. you don't need a high school diploma to make 80k as soon as i had an opportunity to make more money in a different field a ran for the hills no the industry isn't horrible but there are a lot of negatives and the fact that no truckers stand together and help each other makes it worse there is constant bickering on this forum maybe the op could have worded his post better but if i was new i would want numbers like those it took me a month in this industry to learn to run hard like that
