That's the first I've heard of it. Asked my safety guy and he hadn't heard that either. @sdaniel? Not saying you're wrong, but even trusted friends tell lunch counter stories sometimes.Last edited: Jul 19, 2017

Who work for? And were did you get this info?

This is rubbish.
The cameras are supposedly only active during an emergency event. The company will say that they are never used for random surveillance.
Go ahead and spend a bunch of money on attorney fees, you are going to lose this one. -
Lol! They turn it on any time they want to. I know many drivers i speak to on docks say they get called all the time. About what there doing wrong in a truck. Cams facing the driver is a slap in the face.X-Country Thanks this.

Possible explanation for OD, our 2018 tractors are equipped with collision mitigation systems, and those have outward facing cameras that trigger when the system activates. There was a big to-do with the new Freightliners popping off false crash warnings so safety was, maybe still is, reviewing each video to identify the problem and fix it. Perhaps that was what the friend was referring to? I know the old grandpas at my barn are mystified by this new voodoo technology and are therefore distrustful of it.
Bob Dobalina and X-Country Thank this.
