Are you running the RTLO209 or RTLO229 trans and clutch? Surprised it lasted with the power.

 

Running the 22918 on the big hills I run the RPMs up around 1900 to keep it out of the torque range.I have to confess the gearbox destroyed its self on monday with the main input shaft bearing letting go made a mess.
Even with the big hills here you should get 600,000 miles before you need to replace bearings mine only did 420,000miles dont realy need this at the moment.

I must look like a rookie but this is my 4th truck,Never had a truck with so much down time first brand new truck I've owned.
Makes my old t6 look good,A reman trans,new clutch,fix leaking main seal,tow charges should be around $9000us its like banging your head against a brick wall.

Western Star,everything W/S is great would buy another in a heart beat.
Just having a bad luck with the running gear the 3406E I had did over a mill miles with next to no problems its just bad luck.
