I was suggesting autogenous bone graft with plate. There are other methods as sternum repairs are common in infants born with defective sternum.

No disrespect, but until you're actually "there," it's easy to be gallant about it. For surgery on one or two coronary arteries, there is a less invasive procedure which wouldn't been appropriate for a triple/quadriple bypass.

Hope you have a healthy life and never need to be "there." :thumbleft:

This is just an FYI for anyone interested. I just got a reply from the FMCSA. Here's the copy and paste :
"49 CFR 391.41 (b)(4) (see below) does not specifically reference a driver who has had bypass surgery. To make a certification decision please consult with the driver's specialist and/or request additional information regarding the driver's past and current health status."
"49 CFR 391(b)(4) Has no current clinical diagnosis of myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, coronary insufficiency, thrombosis, or any other cardiovascular disease of a variety known to be accompanied by syncope, dyspnea, collapse, or congestive cardiac failure."

All I see is a non-answer that passes the buck to a surgeon who knows nothing about the job a truck driver does.
