I'd believe anything concerning that. That's one of the reasons I don't mind helping people on here with a troubled past; I've seen a lot in my life and know not all is what it seems on both sides of the fence.

Many people in trucking have had substance abuse problems. I've drank enough Jim Beam to float a battleship around, but never drugs. The important thing is achieving long term recovery before driving a truck.

I have no problem with folks who have a troubled past. It's not where they are coming from, but it is about where they are now, and where they are headed.
The longer I live, the more I see just how much total BS the so-called "justice system" is. My two major problems are with the drug laws, and asset forfeiture. I've no problem with asset forfieiture AFTER conviction. But the arbitrary seizure of property without due process is nothing more than legalized theft.
Whoa I didn't mean to jump on my soapbox here. -
Asset forfeiture without conviction is unconstitutional... "Without due process"!Chinatown Thanks this.

No crap! Tell that to the DEA and a lot of other 3 letter agencies.

Be careful what you wish for, otherwise next time you might get Nurse Ratched to assist you!!lmaoBig Don Thanks this. -
What I would like to know is how all of you armchair Monday morning quarterbacks know what the real cause of this very tragic accident. I've not seen nor heard who was at fault or why he swerved over in the oncoming lane. You have the right to voice your opinion but they are like ######## everybody got one. I didn't read where drugs were a contributing factor or if he was running paper logs. Ain't but one person knows what happened and he will have his chance to speak very soon I'm sure. js

Remember the stripper from a "gentlemans club" in California? She had something over a million dollars in cash in her car and headed to another state. Her cash was seized somewhere along the way, but was returned in a few days when she explained it was tip money and she was on her way to open her own business in another state. If she was ugly, probably wouldn't have had a penny returned.Bud A., 207nomad, Big Don and 1 other person Thank this.

Did you read the article? Also, do you really think an owner-operator is going to use Elogs?
"Troopers also say the driver of the truck-tractor, identified as Walter Pollock, 65, was taken to a local hospital, and is facing preliminary charges of driving under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and improper lane usage." -
Yep, just like you...
