havnt seen alot of the Western Stars on the road, got up close to one a couple years back, i think they called it a lowrider, it did seem to sit lower to the ground then most other trucks, always wondered how they drive. and what there interiors were like.

I like it,has a very wide cab, lots of leather,it was $50k cheaper than a KW thats what swayed me.
There is a lot of them over here now as our dollar has been up around 75-80 cents to your $1 now its dropped to 55 cents the imports will slow.
KWs come out of Australia our $$ is still strong against them so I would say they will be better value.

This reminds me of a old guy I know that about 8 years ago said I don't know why you would need all that hp (235) that the cummins in my dodge put out, he said that hauling his antique tractors(about 10K at the most) with his 351 ford gasser up to I believe it was syracuse NY, it would slow down to about 35mph on some of the hills but who cares it still does the job. I agreed that it would do the job, but I told him that mine would do the job faster, easier and use less than half the fuel, but I guess that doesn't matter:biggrin_2555: Since I have nothing better to do I did some math. A big hammer under the hood climbing a big hill for 10 miles at 65mph takes 9.24 minutes, and depending on how big of hill lets say you climb it at 55mph with a little hammer it takes 10.92 minutes which takes you 18% longer or lets say you have most of the trucks on the road and you go up the hill at 45 mph it will take you 13.32 minutes or 44% longer, just the time difference gives you a cushion to be able to feed that big fire and still get atleast the same mileage. If I could find the max fuel consumption rates for each engine I could tell exactly what each would burn climbing that hill, but I will save looking for that for tomorrow when its raining.
