Try to avoid any company that runs Volvos as leg room is limited and the steering wheel to seat space is on the small side. Perhaps try to lose some weight as these doctors are really cracking down on heavy drivers, you'll be made to jump through all sorts of hoops everytime you'll get a physical. I lost over 130 lbs recently and can offer a few tips if you want.

Don't lease a truck that just crazy. Drive as company driver and just see how you like the job and stay with that. You don't the pressure of making lease payment when their is not freight to haul. I would try and stay out of the notheast if possible. Some companies won't even go there. No parking in the Northeast and lots of small roads and low bridges.
bigdavid1996 Thanks this. -

Discard the idea of lightweight. That has nothing to do with anything.
If you are a big boy and built well and huge, there will be room for you. Maybe not in a pete but Ive seen some good ol boys squeeze into one.
Trucks that are built for the purpose of OTR work have certain standards, engineering considerations and a little bit of technology inside of them for many things ranging from auto braking to human comfort in sleeping when it's -60 and 50 mph wind outside. They have gotten really luxury palaces out there on 18 wheels over the last 30 years or so. I come from old iron where your body buts up against cold steel in all areas as you drive. No luxury back then except smokes, coffee.
Good luck to you.
