That's just my .02 worth. I've crunched #'s before and came up with $8000 a month is what it would take for me to go 1099, but I'm just a boogereatinmoron. That puts roughly $1300 to $1500 in the bank weekly after paying your own deductions. My #'s may be off some but it was a start.

I don't think good drivers work for 1099's. You need to switch to W2

from what i see oilfields are a race to the bottom. unless you have prior experience in oilfield work i would say look elsewhere.
