Injector wiring harness Oil leak

From experience I can tell u no but a lot of Volvo techs will really challenge me on this the oil doesn't go in the wires just around and it has nothing to do with causing extra resistance every injector plug u take out is soaked in oil and never seen a problem from that either

 

yep fill the #### up with silicone or engine sealant and drive away all the Volvo's do this the harness does not like it and a new harness will set you back over a grand

 

new harness is about 800 with labor and all should be somewhere arond 1500 or 1600

 

Hi, does anyone know if a leaking harness (21625276) can cause an Autoshift to malfunction? Mine would not downshift, then when I stopped (turned off truck in gear) and restarted the truck, it would not go into a gear. Towed home, power washed the area around the harness and it worked temporarily. Any help would be appreciated.

 

just that short wires? oh jezzzzzzzz. these volvo part prices are getting nuts. im on my second round of replacing 500.000 mile stuff everything doubled in that time. help me out guys. short wires going from drivers side back valve cover to EECM $1,000 ? < Que the Drew Caries secretarys exploding head clip >

 

good answer! If the insulation has not broken down I don't know why it would. They use the best wires you can get for heat and oil. I know I ordered 6 rolls.

 

Red? Black? or the new Grey RTV best for this?

Grey is my favorite! ... that stuff is wicked strong compared to the old black or red
