95 to 85 is the shortest. Just plan on getting through Baltimore and DC either before the sun or after
-
I live in south GA and am very familiar with this trip........if it were me, I'd take 95 all the way down to 20, cut across 20 to exit 113 and then south on GA 83 (pay attention when you get to Montecello), and then end up on 75 south........this does 3 very important things......you bypass Fancy Gap, I 77 into Charlotte, and I 85 / 285 in Atlanta.......it's 30 miles longer than 81-77-85-75, but it's well worth it
baha, poppapump1332 and A21CAV Thank this. -
85/285 into Atlanta isn't bad if you're going south and make it through there before about 5 am. All the traffic on 75 will be going north at that time too.
-
yep as is 77 south into Charlotte......that said, anything after 5 am or before 7 pm on either road is pure hell
-
yep that's the way I took sitting in columbia can I run exit 130 which is route 44/129 all the way to macon?
-
yes, that's the way I usually run. There's a few small towns along the way, but it's still a good run.
Pay attention when you get to Gray GA......there's a new bypass and your map or GPS might not have it. But it's pretty simple, right at the 4 way, and right when you dead end. You're on a good route
You'll end up on I16 about 5 miles west of I 75poppapump1332 Thanks this. -
