I can't seem to get a exact answer. Some people have said .25 cents a mile.. i really don't think this is true. Some people have also said .36 cents a mile which is more believable. Any Swift drivers out there that have an exact answer ?
So, What does Swift Really Pay New Drivers?

I imagine a lot of it depends on which fleet you begin with. Regional, OTR, dedicated, contract, flatbed, van, etc etc
Not to mention if maybe there is tuition withholding that is reducing the mileage rate -
I plan to go OTR. Im 21 with no children so i can run hard like i want.
-
Then dont worry about it, run hard, keep clean, wait a year, then decide what you want to do
-
Think it was 34cpm for otr dry box. -2 for per diem
Jfain706 Thanks this. -
Swift offers an additional $0.02 per mile for flatbed. My only regret for my two years with Swift was I didn't get into the flatbed fleet.
Four and a half years ago I started at $0.25 per mile as a dock banging door swinger. They had a major increase in pay rates in 2014, then another increase in 2015 about when I left Swift.
@QuietStorm is likely correct about initial pay rate for long haul. But, you should talk to a recruiter for most accurate current pay.QuietStorm and Jfain706 Thank this. -
More of "concerned" than "worried" im getting into trucking and i want to be the best i can be at it. Im really aiming to make that 800-1000 a week
-
It likely is .25 / mile.. For the first 90 days. When I was there it was a scale that quickly went up based on longevity. Here is there payscal on when I was there 5 years ago, and the sad thing is I'm not sure it changed....

.34 i can deal with that. Like i said im really aiming to make that 800-1000 a week goal. So im more than ready to run hard
-
I could deal for three months.. as long ad it goes up afterwards. I mean i have no major bills or responsibilities so i'll be able to save alot of money. I dont really care if i get to make it home or not.. im a loner anyways
