I signed up for that tvc scam learned my lesson had to deal with 2 lawyers that didnt know jack squat about trucking regulations and were asking for 1500 up front just for a consult and then they wanted more to go down to the courts and represent my cases. So i simply turned my self in because there was no chance in h.e. double hockey sticks i was going to pay for a consult and a representation fee. I took my chances with the points and talk to the judge myself and explained the situation got off with 6 months probation and a couple surcharges.

Okay, so this is an old topic, BUT I HAVE to DISAGREE with all this scam stuff... at least as far as Open Road drivers plan is concerned -- I don't know about any of the others. I have had Open Road since 1990 something, and they have saved my @rse more than once... five times to be exact! No, it's not a scam, and yes, it probably costs the same over time as handling it yourself, but as an example, when I got a construction zone 6-over in PA at 3am, I was in NV on the court date. NO I did not pay the lawyer's fees... I will say it again, I did NOT pay the lawyers, not one time. In the PA ticket, it was reduced to a seat belt and I had to pay $85 for the fine and $150 for the court costs.
I want to say that all the people calling it a scam have either never been or member, or been a member and never used it. Save $40/month in a separate bank account if you want to do it on your own, like some people are advising. After 10 years, you'll have $4800. Get arrested once and see if that covers your bail bond at 4am!! Better yet, get a ticket in NY and when you're in CA when the court date comes up... oh well! Better plead guilty by mail!!
Oh, wait! Am I on the CB right now?? -

I know this is very late to be replying to a post from 2014 but I just have to write that TVC is an excellent service and they do have lawyers in all areas in all 48 states (don't know about Alaska or Hawaii). It was a shame that you paid the ticket and pled guilty. I own a trucking company and can assure you that 100?%? of my drivers use TVC and plead "Not Guilty" to every violation that will negatively impact their CDL with points and I do not know if a single case when the ticket was not reduced to a non-point non-moving violation. -
Wow, I've see ceo, owners, and even the occasional dispatcher run in and shill for their company here. First time I seen a company shill for one of the prepaid legal scams though.

One of their sales reps was posting in a different subforum about a week ago. Might even be the same guy.

It seems like most of the time if you show up in court the cop doesn't even show up and then they toss it out.
BigTennOTR Thanks this. -
TVC is the worst experience of my life. Don't waste your money! Do you due diligence! Find an attorney on your own and fight the ticket! This is a scam and rip off... 9 over ticket! Over $1000.00 spent on attorney fees and other associated fees. And now still paying the ticket at triple the original value. Thanks for Nothing TVC...#$@%&$
If nothing else I hope this helps someone else out there save their hard earned money!!
