I didn't catch this until now.
55 isn't used, 47 is the average because of the delays like traffic and fuel stops, etc. ... So if a load is scheduled using 55, it can be late, but at 47, there is a cushion of time built in.
Starting school, forgive me if this has been asked!

Yeah. It's not regular like clockwork, but generally you will either be home Friday and back out on the road Monday, or home Saturday and back out on the road Tuesday. Occasionally, you might wind up home Saturday with a delivery nearby on Monday, but then they will give you that Tuesday off so that you get your two days off.
Our recruiter also suggested that you get a passport or a passport card if you don't already have one so that you can drive into Canada. That will apparently dramatically increase the number of loads available to you.roadglide11 Thanks this. -
Is it all no freight? And do run all Volvos with auto trans? Thanks
-
We only have one customer that I know of that requires the driver to actually load or unload the freight. But they're not a common destination for any of us, and especially not for anybody driving the Northeast. I have been here for a year now, and I have never had to load or unload my own Freight. My trainer has been with the company four years now, and has only had to do it once.
We run Volvos, Freightliners, Kenworths, and Macks. All are automatic transmission. I don't think it is likely that you would get a Volvo as a Northeast driver. It's not impossible, just improbable. A Freightliner or a Kenworth is more likely.roadglide11 Thanks this. -

There is no reason for a trainer to not provide a shower other than simply being mean. You can get a team shower for 1 shower credit at most truck stops. Does not cost anything extra.Canned Spam Thanks this.

getting stuck buying ALL of the food, prepared food on the road was stupid expensive too. if your in a truck that much you should know how to cook on the road, the company is a big fail here too. 145 watt power inverter cant run a toaster, and they expect you to live in this truck?
