While driving it was not to be pulled into a scale in BC while driving a truck that has a 318 inch wheelbase with no permits for it and for the combination being over length. The nice lady officer in Watson Lake caught on to how long the combo was and measured it and told me good luck with BC.
Before all that I was too stupid to be scared about my employment situation.bzinger and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
Dude...I've been passed by one of them country boys dump trucks in VA, where I was doing 78mph on my bike....(FYI: 80Mph is FELONY RECKLESS DRIVING)
He was gaining on me and when he passed, I paced him. He was doing 105mph and did not give a crap, on the hammer lane.
I value my CDL too much now to even think of going over 70 in VA....lolSHOJim, bzinger, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this. -
You been to south dakota or Texas lately ?RedRover Thanks this.

Totally hurting someone else. Today a cattle hauler when flying down Eisenhower in the hammer lane. He had to be doing 80mph and as he passed I saw there was a female passenger with a ####ing infant in her arms. I locked my brakes up completely and let him get really far away before I pulled off of the shoulder. Didn't even get on the cb to call him a stupid mother####er like I wanted to, because I was scared he might lose control reaching for the cb.
Also, a blown steer tire has got to be up there. I was doing winter simulator training and hit what I thought was a small patch of black ice. Turned out it was a badly rendered pothole and the dude threw a blown steer tire at me. I didn't roll the truck, but I took out two cars and several poles trying to stay upright. He said I passed because I didn't roll the truck. That said, it's simulator training and I was expecting them to throw every possible hazard at me... I'm never expecting it when I'm driving for real. Scares the #### out of me though. Reaching to shift gears or for a drink, I'm always cringing and ready to brace for impact after that. PTSD. Gonna sue Swift lol -
I've blown a steer at 80k lbs while doing about 70 mph. Its not a big deal. Yes it pulls, but nothing you can't control. Its not like the old days of manual steering.
