Funny...i actually met a few oilfield drivers taking Greyhound bus home because their 200k job was a flop. They were stranded at the oil field with no way out until some of their co-worker felt sorry for them and dropped them off at the nearest Greyhound bus station, 100 miles away. I too wanted to goto the oilfields to make the big bucks until I met these fellas.
Their stories goes like this. Recruiter promise 10k+ per month potiential and company will provide lodging for driver. Driver should not take his/her car because there is no room and no need. Drivers gets to oil field location in a very remote location. No bus, taxi, or transportation to get out. Company said things are slow and will pickup. No layover pay because driver get pay percentage of the load. No load, no pay.

Just subscribed to your YouTube, good luck. I started at Swift and was fairly successful as a company driver and lease purchase driver. I pull tankers now but i would go back to Swift if it doesn't work out.
