Well my first response to you would be that the best way to prevent that is make sure that you don't do any texting while you're driving.
Having said that if an officer had pulled me over the first thing I would do is make sure that all of my windows/Apps were closed which is only two clicks away on my phone.
Keep Truckin' App. Anyone using it?

HORRIBLE!! HORRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!!
Don't waste your time with this company. We have had our ELDS since March and have had nothing but problems with them. Only half the reports show up and very rarely can I even get one. Their call center is overseas so good like trying to understand what is being said and if you can understand them they just give you the run around anyways. NO ANSWERS, NO SOLUTIONS & ABSOLUTELY NO RESOLUTIONS.
I have been battling with them now since June and our units still are not working properly and they have yet to even offer new devices. But yet they keep taking our monthly payment.
I wouldn't waste your time with these ELDS it is more hassle then its worth. -
I waited until December 17th to call keep truckin to get an AOBR. When I received it in the mail I plugged it into the truck, called them and in 5 minutes I was on duty and have never had a single hiccup since that day. I was pleasantly surprised with customer service. I double checked the title of this thread because after reading your post I thought it was another company. I don't what your talking about. Every time I have called its like I'm talking to my local dish network company. All American native English language speaking people. Always answer the phone quickly and always an answer or solution. The only thing they did drag their feet on was getting the adjustable 15 MPH threshold active.
Accidental Trucker Thanks this. -

I use it and I love it. You can’t edit the driving time hours though. If you put on duty driving yard mode, make sure you click it off before you leave out of the there. Or it will stay “on duty” and not “driving”. The app will also lock if you go past 5mph. Also, don’t log out when you are driving. The Bluetooth won’t connect back to your phone or tablet unless you are stopped. And there is about a 10 second delay before the app unlocks again.
If you are parked on the ramp, or on the shoulder, just put your status in off duty. If dot or a trooper wakes you up and tells you to move, make sure you click off duty personal conveyance. If you move 15 feet in off duty or sleeper berth, the app will go into driving mode and it will break your 10hr. It might even say violation lol -
You must have an ELD. I can edit drive time. I can drive in on duty or off duty status up to 15 mph before it will trip into drive mode. I've left mine on yard move a few times driven 4-5 hrs. So what when I stop to change duty status and realize what I did just change it to driving. The only difference between keeptruckin AOBR and the loose leafs I used to use is I don't have to tear up and throw away the edited pages. With keeptruckin there just gone.

Difference is you come on here out of nowhere and bump a thread that was a year old. You think anyone is gonna take you serious?
If you're having so many issues, maybe you need to switch to a different eld or be real smart and drive a truck that doesn't need an eld.TIMPTE 527 Thanks this.
