The boss took it to shop. They changed fuel filters. Told him he was using wrong filters. next week they changed fuel pump. Next week they changed fuel lines. Next week they called cat tech line and changed 2 injectors. Next week they changed the other 4.
The fuel line runs to front of motor. Through each injector to back of motor and back to tanks via other components.
This is a 06 cat in a 07 w9. Though.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
#1 and 2 injectors are bad they don't have any till Tuesday or weds so I'm stuck

Let us know where you fueled the last 3 times so we can avoid similar problems. Your filter(s) are probably collapsed and let trash get by.
Your fuel pump is likely to fail soon, too.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Give everyone a update on the truck I'm still in Jackson tn they have no idea what's making the truck run like it is changed injectors still nothing on #1 cylinder but if they put a computer on it whatever the computer does makes the truck run perfect they unplug it then bam #1 goes down again they talked to cummins said could be other injectors but doesn't it seem more like the computer controlling the injectors been broke down for 7 days I gotta get outta this town
baha Thanks this. -
Maybe they could try flashing the computer but that makes no sense that laptop can make it run.
-
Yeah the guys at this kenworth shop are parts changers I have noticed so they say could be this or that just wanna throw parts at it, I'm not paying for the parts but still seems kinda stupid and expensive to wanna do that
