Driving a CMV without a CDL is a serious offense. Look at table 2 for §383.51 for the complete list. The problem with serious offenses are that a 2nd conviction within 3 years will DQ you for 60 days. You're already going to have 1, which means you better know these violations and not commit any of them going forward or you'll be sidelined. That is why other companies may not touch you...they need you to be able to work, and you can't if you're DQ.
As for the rollover, in the dump world, it happens...it shouldn't, but it does. You didn't get fired, so just don't let it happen again.TaterWagon#62 Thanks this. -
probably hired him on as a laborer, short handed asked if he could drive the truck.

14 years ago, before I got my CDL, I was driving straight trucks for a company that I won't name. Some were class B, and some weren't. I didn't know that, at the time. I got into a major accident, and luckily I wasn't driving one of the class B trucks at the time. Even though I had no clue, at the time, that I needed a class B license to drive those trucks, it wouldn't have mattered much to a judge. I happened to be lucky. Some companies really don't give a rat's ### about regs. Sorry about your luck.
QuietStorm and tman78 Thank this. -
The OP might be a good worker, but he/she had no business behind the wheel of a truck without a license. The company should be fined out of existence. Rogue operators hurt everyone in this industry.
Just passing by, Tb0n3, buddyd157 and 2 others Thank this. -
yeah, but did YOU ROLL ONE OVER...????QuietStorm Thanks this.

then THOSE companies that could not give a rats behind, ought to be sued heavily till blood oozes out of every orifice...JayBeard the Pirate Thanks this.

The headline on your post is a question "I rolled a truck, will that stop me from driving". The answer of course is yes....once your trucks tires are no longer in contact with the road surface you will not be able to continue driving it.JayBeard the Pirate, KillingTime, TaterWagon#62 and 13 others Thank this.
