I like your mature response. I also like the fact that you are talking "OUR" instead of "yours" and "mine."
My wife and, in over 25 years of marriage have never had an argument over money. It didn't matter if we were both working at good paying jobs, or not.
Do we HAVE to ASK each other before we spend money? Of course not! But if it is a major purchase, we discuss. Me may defer the purchase until the time is better financially, or not. If it is important, not.

From my perspective: She should have her own account and you should make sure that she is properly funded to take care of the things she has responsibility for. Those are the expenses you both have decided she can handle best. There should be money in there for her personal use, as well. How she spends that is not your business. And how you spend your money after expenses is your business.

You do it however you want. An interesting statistic is that in more than half of all families in the US the female is the budgeteer. If that works for you, rock on. I prefer a more... Individualist approach.

But if you have to ask your wife's permission to buy a new pair of boots for work I'm going to judge you. Just sayin'.

When the entire household is on a budget, checking to see if this can be spent for that is a good thing. When two people have two different plans or budgets and don't communicate, wires can and do get crossed,

    Ding ding ding

Western union, money gram, Wal-Mart, PayPal, Facebook, banks, etc. Can pretty much all be done online. I'd pick something that don t charge fees though.

I use it all the time to send money to my kids and to purchase e-liquid from my favorite juice company.

I couldn't agree more! I had a rather unpleasant experience due to facebook. I killed my account, and do not go to ANY of those sites anymore.

If you have internet access and a bank account you don't even need to leave your house to send money. There are so many options for this.

I don't understand why anyone would use Walmart, Western Union, etc... put those crap services out of business the only people who should still be using that are crackheads and inmates. Hell you can even send money to inmates online now lol
