True, but it's easy when all you need is one strap to the wall, or just put a load bar up when you have two skids side by side with similarly sized freight in front of it.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

They're certainly fun to unload that way with a liftgate, not.

I tell you what 55 gallons of that acid is a heckuva lot heavier than water. I couldn't budge one by myself. Took two of us to round a barrel onto the forks. Rock it to a side to try a short "roll" a few inches at a time and the bottom collapses enough to not give a decent roll. Metal is better.

Something else that's heavy is vaping fluid. That stuff must weigh about 13 lbs per gallon.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

You mean it isn't secured as soon as the doors close?

The way I haul drums is 4 to a pallet, shrink wrapped heavily, V boards and 2 straps. Be sure to have the pallets butted together as well.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

I used to work with this driver some years back who was a good driver just careless. He'd pull pavers and dozers with one or no chains at all. Luckily he never lost anything but he was bad about hitting stuff. Hit two Bridges with excavator and I saw him tear every power pole down in a block in 4 directions with a dumptruck bed. The best one though was when he came pulling up on my job with my grader, a Cat12H with a traffic light smashed through the windshield and lying in the floor. Not a streetlight but a red, yellow , and green traffic light. LOLOL.

tucker, Lepton1 and crb Thank this.

You say he was a good driver. How do you define good driver?

Haha I guess that was a contradiction. He was a good guy? But a shi!?y driver.
