I always thought they were.

Depending on how a lease is written you can take depreciation instead of only writing off the payment.

 

If you will be running paper logs after the mandate date, you must have supporting documents in the truck, bols, fuel receipts etc. I don't know, but I was told by my last carrier that you need 6, so sending them away would hurt instead of help.

 

Believe it or not, they'll claim probable cause to search you sleeper. There is an obscure regulation that a sleeper must have a 3" mattress or thicker and sheets/blankets. How can they write you up for that without getting into your bunk? I know, sucks.

 

Not sure if this was where Haycarter was going,but a cop can't open sealed US mail,so technically you have it.

 

I bounce, sitting around in a dead area is killing time that could otherwise be used to get to another load.

 

I'd go. Billings is not even pretty. When I sit at a place like that, I feel like I was sent to a penal colony.
