Anyone know a DOT audit consultant?

    Hello I want to say thanks for the responses on my other thread about a potential audit on my father in laws trucking company. Can anyone recommend a good consultant or consulting company for a DOT audit? Someone who could do a full mock audit. Company is in Los Angeles area.

    If not does anyone know a good place to look? I know there are websites to find a good lawyer, restaurants even someone to walk your dog but DOT audit consultants seems like a small field. Thank you

    I did ours myself. I was super nervous about screwing up but really its not that bad. If u ask your auditor what u need to get ready they can provide (if they are nice) a sheet of everything u will need to get ready.

    Ok thanks I will look into OOIDA and thanks CDL CPL. I didn't know the auditors would do that. I guess there are some government agents who aren't that bad? haha

    Ya ours was really cool actually. He gave me everything to prepare and let me know ahead of time if anything else was needed. We actually never even saw him face to face, all of it was done either through email or phone. Good luck! hope yours is as good as ours!

    It was new entrant, for a compliance you will probably have to meet face to face but they should still be able to provide you something so you know exactly what they are going to want to see.
